The Principles pointed me to the nature of thought and its power. Thought is invisible. It is the power that allows formless energy to come into being, and thus create my own unique perspective. Thought becomes alive through my feeling of it. When I don’t have a lot of thoughts, I feel more of my pure energy which is peaceful and has a sense of wellbeing.From this understanding, I came to see that what made sweeping so peaceful wasn’t the action of sweeping. I noticed, before I picked up a broom, that I would have buckets filled with thoughts: the worry of my kids, overwhelm of work, and a sick husband. When I swept, I noticed my thoughts quieted. I noticed I began to feel better as my thinking quieted down.

When I work with clients I never know where our journey will take us, and what my client will see. Each time I work with a client it is like going on an exotic vacation. Sometimes my client will notice something that seems small, like a shell or a fragrant white flower. Other times it seems like what we notice is a view from a mountain range. Each new thought opens up their world.

I am humbled to share this understanding with anyone at any time. When people open up to this way of thinking I watch them calm down allowing the intelligence that lives in them space to bloom. I watch my clients cut the fish net of their thinking away and flow into their life with grace and ease. Anxiety and fear that once gripped them melts like butter. My clients drop the struggle and wait for wisdom to guide them. They step into their power and what once looked like brave conversations are now merely simple chats. I watch my clients make what would appear to be a radical change in their career, but for them it feels like a simple step in another direction.

I could refer back to history to see that this thinking had been handed down to me from generation after generation that believed women were inferior. Generations that refused women the ability to vote, own property or work until relatively recently.When I came across the Three Principles and realized I was a soul having a human experience, I had to wake up and see that most of the thinking I had was crap. It felt real but it was not true. It was like I had been fitted with a space helmet of reality when I was born and never bothered to take the helmet off.

When I listen to someone’s soul I have to listen to the energy in what they are saying, and pay attention to when it changes. When someone’s intellect is speaking, it is like seeing squirts of water come out of a hose. When I hear someone's soul speak it is like the hose has been opened up and water is gushing out. I feel the force of this water move me.

Have you ever had one of those moments where, all of a sudden, you can see what you have been doing — and it no longer makes sense? I just had one of these moments as I sat down to write this blog post. Since I started writing my blog, 10 years ago, I have written each post with the intention of being useful. Today I sat down to start writing with that same intention. And then I thought, “How do I know what will be useful to someone? Who am I to be that judge?” And then I heard the words “Write what makes you come alive."
